Who you'd be working with

Hi, I'm Matthew.

I'm a sophomore in aerospace engineering at the University of Illinois pursuing a minor in mathematics. I have been tutoring for over two years now and have helped students of varying math levels succeed in school and on standardized tests.

My approach is successful because I adapt to each student based on which environment they are most successful in. Some may prefer a solution broken down, others work best when given lots of examples. Figuring out which one you are is the first thing I do.

Booking policy

Short version: pay before we meet, and give a day's notice if plans change.

How to pay
Venmo (@Matthew-Markwald) or Zelle (markwaldtutoring@gmail.com), any time before the session starts. Both are also on the booking page.
Rescheduling & cancellations
Cancel or move a session up to 24 hours beforehand and nothing is owed — anything already sent carries over to your next session. Inside 24 hours the full fee applies.
Missed sessions
A no-show is owed in full. If something urgent comes up, email me — we can sort it out on a case-by-case basis.
If I cancel
Nothing is owed, and anything already sent goes toward your next session or comes straight back, whichever you prefer. That holds however late the notice is.
